# Cookie Coven > Handmade cookie boxes, built to order in a one-woman home kitchen in Whitchurch, Hampshire, and posted across the UK by tracked next-day delivery. Cookie Coven sells one thing and lets you build it: boxes of handmade cookies. Nothing is kept in stock. Every order is baked on the week it is placed, in limited weekly batches, then posted. The bakery is run by Klover and is registered with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. ## Chocolate Chip Cookies The signature bake: golden at the edges, soft in the middle, and far too generous with the chocolate. Every box comes with chocolate chips as standard, or plain if you would rather. Then add a special chocolate for extra goodness, running right through the box, or pick two and both go into the batch together. Box sizes and prices: - Box of 9: £13 - Box of 18: £25 - Box of 27: £38 Cookie base options: Chocolate chips, Plain. Chocolate on top: Kinder, Chocolate Orange, Galaxy, Magic Stars. Pick one to run through the whole box, or two blended together in every cookie, £3 either way. Ingredients and allergens: Plain flour (wheat, gluten), butter (milk), light brown sugar, free-range egg, chocolate chips (milk, soya), vanilla, bicarbonate of soda, sea salt. Special chocolates: Kinder Chocolate, Terry's Chocolate Orange, Galaxy Milk Chocolate and Galaxy Magic Stars. All four contain milk and soya. Their makers warn that Galaxy and Magic Stars may contain peanuts and tree nuts, and that Terry's Chocolate Orange may contain nuts. Baked in a kitchen that handles nuts, so nothing can be guaranteed nut-free. ## Ordering and delivery - Orders placed Saturday to Wednesday are baked the coming Thursday evening / Friday morning and posted that Friday. - Orders placed Thursday or Friday join the next week's list, baked and posted the following Friday. - Postage is calculated at checkout by the weight of the order and posted UK-wide. - Collection and cash payment are not offered. Orders are placed and paid for online. ## Sending a box as a gift - Any box can be sent as a gift, at no extra charge. Tick the gift option while building it, say who it is to and from, and write a message for a card that goes in the box. - The box is posted straight to the recipient, using the delivery address entered at checkout. The buyer never has to receive it and forward it on. - The buyer can optionally add the recipient's email address, and Cookie Coven sends them one note saying a parcel is on its way. The buyer chooses what that note says: only that something is coming, that it is from them, or their card message sent early. - The recipient's email is used for that single note and nothing else. Leave it blank and the recipient is told nothing, so the box stays a surprise. ## Where we deliver Orders are posted by tracked Royal Mail from Whitchurch, Hampshire, to anywhere in the United Kingdom. Areas served include: Whitchurch, Andover, Basingstoke, Winchester, Newbury, Overton, Tadley, Alton, Southampton, Portsmouth, Eastleigh, Romsey, Fareham, Hampshire. There is no shop and no collection: every order, local or not, is placed online and posted. ## Allergens - Cereals containing gluten: Plain flour (wheat) is the base of every cookie. - Milk (dairy): From the butter in the dough and the chocolate chips. All four special chocolates contain milk too: Kinder Chocolate, Terry's Chocolate Orange, Galaxy and Magic Stars. - Nuts: No cookie has nuts as an ingredient, but three of the four special chocolates carry manufacturer warnings for nuts or peanuts, and our kitchen handles nuts. - Egg: Free-range egg goes into the cookie dough. - Soya: In the chocolate chips, and in all four special chocolates, which are made with soya lecithin. - Everything is made in one small home kitchen with no separate allergen-free area, so no bake can be guaranteed free from traces. ## Frequently asked questions ### Can I customise my cookies? Yes, every box is built to order. Pick your box size, choose chocolate chips or a plain base, then add a special chocolate for extra goodness. Pick two and both go into the batch, so every cookie gets a bit of each. ### Can I send a box as a gift? Yes. Tick 'Send it as a gift' when you build your box, say who it's to and from, and write a message for the card. Put their address in at checkout and it goes straight to them with the note tucked in beside the cookies. Add their email and we'll tell them it's coming, or leave it blank to keep it a surprise. ### What chocolate can I choose? Kinder, Chocolate Orange, Galaxy or Magic Stars. One runs right through the box, or pick two and we blend both into the same batch, for the same price either way. ### When will my order arrive? Baked on Thursday evening and Friday morning, then posted the same Friday by tracked next-day delivery. Most UK orders arrive over the weekend. Exact bake and post dates are shown at checkout. ### Why don't you ship immediately? Because nothing here sits in stock. Everything is made fresh to order on the week's bake day, so it reaches you at its best rather than off a shelf. ### What if I order on a Thursday or Friday? You'll join the following week's bake list. Order Saturday through Wednesday and you're on this week's bake. ### How is everything sent? Carefully boxed and posted from Whitchurch, Hampshire by tracked next-day delivery. Postage is calculated at checkout from the size of your order. ### How do I know how much I can order? Each week has a set batch size, and stock ticks down as orders come in. There's no running total on the site, but if you try to add more than what's left, the basket won't let you.
